Susquehanna Bank

EWC Transition Planning & Management coordinated construction and managed facility renovations for numerous Susquehanna Bank branches and offices. Project budgets ranged from $50k to $3 million. Notably, we led the project management and relocation for two headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland, and Hagerstown, Maryland: ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to bank operations. Our team effectively managed various aspects, including construction oversight, technology integration, and move logistics, ensuring a seamless transition for Susquehanna Bank.

Silo Point Condominiums

For the Silo Point high-rise residential building in downtown Baltimore, we provided comprehensive transition management support for its 228 units. Our responsibilities included managing build-out and upgrade requests, following up on punch list items, and addressing warranty-related issues. We worked closely with developers and contractors to ensure each unit met the highest standards before residents moved in, offering a seamless experience for new homeowners.

Johns Hopkins University

EWC worked hand-in-hand with construction teams, architects, university administrators, professors, and student users to coordinate the new Computational Science building’s furniture, fixtures, and equipment. We managed projects at the Peabody, Homewood, downtown Hospital and Columbia campuses, facilitating seamless moves and renovations. Key projects included the relocation of Engineering’s Robotics Department equipment to their research high-bay lab and the Mock Operating Room and the FF&E and relocation of special use rooms such as the ensemble library and opera studio during the Peabody renovation.

DISA (Defense Information Systems Agency)

As a move planning sub-contractor with NMR Consulting, we relocated 4800 personnel for the National Capital Region to Fort Meade. We developed staffing requirements and estimates for the 28-phase project, managing each move meticulously. Additionally, we served as the move planner for a 65k square foot secure government data center, addressing insurance and downtime issues for the multi-million dollar relocation. Our comprehensive approach ensured a smooth and secure transition for all involved.

Constellation Energy/Baltimore Gas & Electric

As transition planning consultant for Himes Associates, EWC managed various building and construction renovation projects for Constellation Energy, with budgets ranging from $25k to $5M. We played a lead role in the relocation management and stacking plan for the Baltimore Gas & Electric Company headquarters renovation. Our team was able to control spending and brought the project back on schedule and within budget. We managed the furniture, fixtures and equipment moves of critical departments, as well as the clean-up and turn-over of the old facility, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.

Peabody Institute

The Peabody Institute required move management of offices, classrooms, an extensive music library, and archive items during their $26 million renovation. Our role included space planning around the construction schedule, which lasted two years, with the school in session from September through May. We coordinated the FF&E and relocation of special-use rooms, ensuring minimal disruption to the academic environment and preserving the integrity of the Institute’s resources.

Battelle Memorial Institute

At Battelle Memorial Institute, we researched, developed, and established vendors and contracts to open and operate an 80k square foot office, conference center, and laboratory facility in Aberdeen, MD. Our team developed security systems, building management policies, and procedures, ensuring the facility met all operational and safety standards. Our comprehensive approach facilitated a seamless launch and operation of the new facility.
